The Country and Abroad is known for publishing dispatches regarding special events in the quad-state region of eastern New York, western Connecticut, western Massachusetts, and southern Vermont, and also “abroad.”

We use the term “abroad” because these dispatches and articles may range from appraising tulips in Holland, golfing in France, riding camels in Mongolia, sleeping on ice beds in Northern Sweden, taking the baths in Austria to locales south of our distribution area, including columns about Louisville, Kentucky, Lexington, Virginia, Aiken, South Carolina, southern Florida, and points even farther south, such as the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, the island of Cuba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, with columns by Diana Niles King, Deyan Ranko Brashich, Frances Chamberlain, and Sharon Kleinman.
